Yay for tolerance!

Iowa lifted it's ban on gay marriage today--three down, forty-seven to go! And let's hope they don't have a repeat of what happened in California...

I may be straight, but I'm glad I live in Canada, where gay marriage has been legal nation-wide since 2005.

This afternoon I called the places where I applied for work last month. I'm actually starting to wonder whether I'll get a job this summer (which I NEED), what with the recession. I am hopeful, but I can't help but feel a little bit of discouragement starting to seep in. Then again, it's only early April and some places don't start hiring until May or June, when tourist season starts.
